The website must contain the following important company information in both the website footer
(visible throughout the site) and the final payment page (where card details are inputted by
customers):
a) Registered company name, Company Number, Address
b) Trading Address (if different to registered address)
c) Contact Telephone Number (best with Landline and not a mobile number)
d) Contact Email Address (best with website URL i.e. info@homefixdirect.co.uk and not gmail etc)
TLS/SSL encryption – payment page and any other pages with personal or sensitive information must
be secured, i.e. (https://mywebsite.com)
Official Card Scheme logos in full colour must be present on the website. The logos should be in the
website footer, as well as on the payment page.
The website must contain the following important documents and policies available to view for any
website visitor, including non-authorised users:
a) Terms and Conditions with all information on provided product.
b) Delivery and Shipping policy (where applicable)
c) Refunds, Return and Cancellation Policies
The website must contain a full description of the products and services provided. This can be
contained within a shopping cart or other pages with a Buy Now button.
i.e. (description of the product(s) or services, pricing with options (where applicable)
The payment page should contain the following information:
a) Company details, including the Country of registration.
b) Card schemes logos
At the checkout stage, the customer is informed of the exact amount of the payment, including all
additional charges. (i.e. what is included in the price).
In addition, the page must display Card schemes logos and include the option for clients to manually
accept the T&C’s before payment (“click to accept” button, checkbox or other acknowledgement)
with hyperlink to the relevant document.
If your website does not have a shopping cart then you are required to add a Buy Now Button to
allow customers to purchase your product(s) or service(s) securely online. The Buy Now Button should
migrate to another page where the customer is informed of the exact amount of the payment,
including all additional charges. (i.e. what is included in the price).
In addition, the page must display Card schemes logos and include the option for clients to manually
accept the T&C’s before payment (“click to accept” button, checkbox or other acknowledgement)
with hyperlink to the relevant document.
An additional checkbox is required on or before the payment page which should be manually
checked by the customer confirming they adhere to the website’s recurring policy. This check box
MUST be separate from the Website’s Terms and Conditions checkbox.
The website must include your “Terms & Conditions of Recurring service”, including listed below, in
open access in the area available for any website visitor, including non-authorised users:
a) Description, name and list of services, for which a cardholder’s credit card will be
automatically charged.
b) The fixed dates or intervals on which the Transactions will be processed, or what conditions
the recurring date depends on.
c) Automatic charges amount, including conditions and rules of their formation (in case
amounts vary).
d) Recurring cancellation policy with a description of the particular actions required from the
cardholder to cancel automatic charges. It should be simple and easy to cancel the recurring
services.
Whether the payment transaction was made via MOTO, PBL, Website payment page or Buy Now
Button, after payment, the customer is directed to a payment confirmation page with the result of
their purchase, successful/declined, etc. and, if applicable, instructions to receive the order/service.
In addition, the customer must receive a completed Transaction Receipt at the time of the Transaction
via email confirming their order, will full order details contained, together with confirmation of
delivery timescales etc. This also applies for all recurring charges.
